Update on my Kindle
I felt compelled to catch up on my original blog topic, my Kindle. After six months, I still LOVE my Kindle and use it every day. I don’t leave the house without my Kindle in my bag- just in case I arrive somewhere early, or someone is late, I have something to read! If you click on the link to the right, “Random books from my library” you can see what I have been reading as far as books. I have been logging all my new reads here when I finish a book. Just so you know my rating system, 3 stars is average and anything above 3 stars I enjoyed a lot and I would recommend. I seldom give 5 stars to anything.
Other than being able to start a new book at any time which is especially important in a series, I am absolutely hooked on the news blogs. I subscribe to Reuters and New York Times news blogs that are updated throughout the day. It’s almost frustrating to read the newspaper anymore because the news is so outdated. I mainly count on the newspaper to catch me up on local news as most of the national/international/business/finance news I will have already caught up on the moment it came out. For a news junkie, the Kindle is great! Yes, I do get news alerts in my email and read news online too, but nothing is more convenient than picking up the Kindle and knowing that everytime I do, it is up-to-date with all the current events without me having to do anything. It’s portable, always current and always on. It’s the best $400 I ever spent and other than my toothbrush, I can’t pick out too many other things I rely on daily. Thank you Amazon!
