Raising my children bilingually

A Must-Have

sponge

This post has nothing whatsoever to do with language development, but I just have to share this parenting tip. The topic is bath time for babies and toddlers. I was using all those cute little washcloths that parents inevitably get at baby showers to bathe my children for the past 2+ years and then I got a natural sponge as a gift a few months ago. The sponge was from Tarpon Springs, FL which is historically known as a spong industry town (it’s on the Gulf of Mexico a little north of St. Petersburg) and was meant to be a bathtub play thing for the kids. It is THE BEST thing ever for washing children! Yes, time to revisit an old bath standard.  It holds soap amazingly well, only one application of soap required for full lather the entire time, scrubs yet is so unbelievably soft and has great holes for children’s fingers to explore. Go and buy a natural sponge now! Right HERE…  Did you buy one yet?
