First Impressions of my New Kindle
Finally, I unpackaged my Kindle yesterday and spent some time with it. It is wonderful! So far I have only read the user’s guide and a couple chapters in a Stephen Colbert book, but I find the whole experience very pleasant and comfortable. My husband’s first impression was “It’s ugly.” But then he took it for a spin and I had a difficult time prying his fingers off of MY Kindle. I need to spend much more time with the device and need to work it into my life, but right now I have so many print periodicals I need to catch up on reading that were delivered while I was on vacation before they are too out of date. Then there is that huge stack of new books I still need to get to. Only scary thing about the Kindle is that is way too easy to buy books almost so you don’t realize you are spending money until you see the receipt in your email later. Anyhow, I’m making an effort to spend some quality Kindle time daily and we’ll see if it replaces print books altogether. I ordered a free 2 week trial period of Time Magazine for the Kindle and I’ll let you know what I think of the magazine in the Kindle format.
