Crazy Aunt Purl

I finally remembered to update my links section with Crazy Aunt Purl, the only non-friend, family or current events blog that I actually read. The bookmark resides on my kitchen computer where I read it occasionally and I just forgot to add it here. Laurie writes a lot like how I think in many ways though she more clever in her writting. She’s even written a book- though I’ve not read it. Either way I enjoy reading her!

I discovered the site one day after the millionth compliment on my daughters’ knit hats which I didn’t knit. Now I have knit scarves, but that is the extent of my knitting skill. The hats were knit by a little old lady in VA and given to us as gifts, but the little rolled-brim multicolored hats looked easy enough to knit with a little instruction and I was on a mission to be crafty. One web search later, and I had a pattern, instructions and Crazy Aunt Purl. Needless to say, no hats yet. I have plenty of knitting needles and a knitting store less than a mile from my house with wonderful yarns but alas, no knitting yet. Just add it to my list of unfinished, actually, not even started, but planned craft projects of which I have many many boxes. Kind of like my stacks of unfinished or not started books. I don’t have to ever worry about becoming bored at home, that’s for sure!
