March Madness Is Here

Some years I am more ignorant than others about college basketball. I am in a particularly ignorant place this year and so I have a list of links to peruse to help me fill in my men’s and women’s brackets at ESPN.com. My sister challenges me and others annually and somehow I manage to pick fairly well, mostly based on my historical knowledge, in some cases going back 20 years. Yeah, let’s just call it completely random. This year my sister provided me with some listings based on a software algorithm she wrote to help select teams. I have 10 sample brackets from my sister and I think I’ll peruse the internet as well and then base my final brackets based on a combo of expert opinions and my sister’s software output. Here are my men’s picks in ESPN.com (click on the graphic to see it in its entirety): Men’s Final Four 2008

Other than perusing the newspaper, internet and my sister’s final four picks, today has been a taking care of business day. I’m sure this happens to everyone. The list of things you have to take care of keeps growing and growing until it becomes stressful and you just have to “take care of business.” Call car dealership- done. Call Alaska Air- done. Call church about A’s baptism- done. Email baptism driving directions to all- done. Submit final four picks while I still could- done. Empty out email inbox- done. Now I can get to more fun things like blogging and reading as I still have today’s paper to finish reading.
